WHEN CAN I START GIVING RAGI DALIYA TO MY BABY?

Ragi Daliya can be given as soon as your baby starts solids , that means by 6 months of age you can give Ragi Daliya to your baby. The only thing to note is that sugar or jaggery should not be added to the daliya before your baby turns 1 year of age.

Ragi Daliya A perfect porridge for your little baby – 1/2 cup Ragi Powdered – 2 tsp Jaggery Powder or Shakkar – 2 tsp Ghee – 1 cup Water 1) Add ghee in a pan. In this video I have taken alsi oil. You can take any. 2) Once hot, add ragi to the ghee and saute it for 3 to 5 minutes till nice aroma comes. 3) Add jaggery and water to it. Mix it to remove any sort of lumps. 4) Keep mixing till you get the desired consistency of daliya. Do not add jaggery or sugar for babies below 1 years of age. Instead add sweetness from natural products like dry fruits powder. You can also add 1 tsp dry fruit mix to the daliya after adding jaggery to increase the nutritional content of daliya
